Paul devoted eighteen months of his life to establishing the church in Corinth. He left a thriving fellowship behind and was able to describe it as coming behind in no gift. It was a church firing on all cylinders.
 
However, within months of his leaving, the'spirit of Corinth' had crawled back into the church. Paul wrote his letters to address the issues, couching his words in truly prophetic style – a blend of God’s forthright Word and his aching heart.
